Friendship Peak Expedition

The Friendship Peak Expedition is a thrilling climb to the summit of Friendship Peak (5,289m) in Himachal Pradesh's Pir Panjal range. This 7-day itinerary is designed for adventurers looking for a challenging yet rewarding mountaineering experience.

Day 1: Arrival in Manali (2,050m)

  • Activity: Arrive in Manali and check into a hotel.

  • Preparation: Gear check and briefing about the expedition.

  • Explore: Optional visit to nearby attractions like Old Manali or Hadimba Temple.

  • Stay: Hotel in Manali.

Day 2: Manali to Solang Valley, Trek to Bakarthach (3,300m)

  • Travel: Drive from Manali to Solang Valley (40 minutes).

  • Trek: Start trekking through forests and meadows to Bakarthach.

  • Distance: ~8 km (5–6 hours).

  • Highlight: Stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

  • Stay: Campsite at Bakarthach.

Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Bakarthach (3,300m)

  • Activity: Acclimatization hikes and basic training on the use of technical gear (crampons, ropes, ice axes).

  • Highlight: Relax and prepare for higher altitudes.

  • Stay: Campsite at Bakarthach.

Day 4: Bakarthach to Advanced Base Camp (4,000m)
